Product Introduction

ANLIN smoke and fire curtain systems combine curtain fabric, a headbox, a smoke and fire curtain motor and controls for project-specific smoke containment or fire separation. Choose single control for an individual opening or group control for coordinated operation. Send your project drawings, BOQ and site photos so we can review the appropriate configuration.

Single control provides independent operation of one curtain. Group control connects multiple motor controllers to one group control center.

The illustrated arrangement shows six motors; the described group control system supports up to 12 motors. Identify each curtain and its assigned group on the project drawing.

Certificate

Performance documents should be matched to the exact curtain model and assembly proposed for the project. Check the test standard, report number, laboratory, performance classification, tested dimensions and permitted installation variations. The test photographs below show elapsed-time displays around two and three hours; the relevant report determines the supported rating.

EN1634-1: 2 hours, 1000 degrees

EN12101: 2 hours, 600 degrees

UL 10D: Achieved a 3-hour fire-resistance rating under positive pressure conditions.

UL 1784: Tested air leakage was well below the NFPA 105 limit of 3 CFM/ft².

BS 476: Maintained fire integrity for 180 minutes without failure.

CE Marking — EU Compliance, meets applicable EU requirements, supporting access to the EU market.

Why Choose Anlin’s smoke and fire curtain system?

ANLIN combines gravity fail-safe descent, absolute encoder electronic limits and flexible control arrangements with project drawing and installation support. The following sections explain these functions and the information needed to select a suitable system.

Gravity fail-safe Descent

Gravity fail-safe descent allows the curtain to lower under its own weight when both mains and backup power are unavailable. Electrical power is not required to drive the descent. Confirm the deployment position and distinguish total power loss from mains failure while backup power remains available.

Smoke and fire curtain

A smoke curtain helps contain or direct smoke as part of a building’s smoke control strategy. A fire curtain helps restrict fire spread across protected openings. Select the curtain by its intended function and supporting performance documents; similar appearance does not make the two types interchangeable.

Motor & controller system features

The motor and controller system supports project-specific operating sequences. Confirm the required alarm input, upper and lower positions, intermediate stop, delay time, reset behavior and status feedback before the configuration is finalized.

Fire alarm integration: The described controller supports dry-contact fire alarm inputs and smoke or heat detector inputs. Confirm signal compatibility and the required operating sequence against the wiring diagram. Two-stage descent can use an adjustable intermediate stop and delay before full closure where supported by the selected configuration. Diagnostics may include power-on self-test, fault alarms, status feedback and audible or visual alerts; agree the required functions for the order.

Group control capacity: One group control center supports up to 12 motors in the described system. Define the curtain references, zone assignments and controller locations during design review. The final grouping should follow the project’s required alarm and control sequence.

Absolute encoder electronic limits: The motor and control board use an absolute encoder to set electronic limit positions. This supports accurate positioning and smooth deceleration and stopping at preset positions. Confirm the upper and lower limits during commissioning.

Quality Control & Shipment

The images below illustrate fabric preparation, sewing, assembly, production staging and packing. Agree the inspection requirements before dispatch, including dimensions, component quantities, appearance, operation, electronic limits and specified alarm responses. Request inspection records or operation videos where required for the order.

Packing and identification should match the component dimensions, shipping method and project references. Confirm the packing list and package labels so components can be allocated to the correct installation locations on arrival.

Client Projects

The project photographs illustrate different building layouts and curtain installation locations. For a similar application, provide opening dimensions, available headroom, mounting conditions and the required smoke or fire performance. The appropriate product configuration remains project-specific.

Smoke and Fire Curtain Project Process

To begin a project, send the BOQ, design drawings and site photos. Complete the product requirements form with the installation method and single or group control requirements. For group control, identify the curtain references assigned to each group. ANLIN then provides a preliminary quotation. After order confirmation, we issue design drawings for joint review and confirmation.

Engineering and customization support: ANLIN can support product selection, system layout drawings, installation drawings, wiring diagrams, fire alarm connection guidance, opening size confirmation and customized control requirements. Keep curtain references consistent across the BOQ, drawings and requirements form.

FAQ

Can you customize the curtain size?

Yes. Provide the opening width and height, quantity, available installation space and required performance. Final dimensions and configuration are confirmed through project drawing review and the applicable assembly limitations.

Can you provide only the motor and controller?

Motor and controller supply can be discussed separately from the complete curtain system. Send the intended curtain size, fabric and mechanical arrangement so that compatibility and the supply scope can be reviewed.

Can the system connect with our fire alarm system?

The described controller supports a dry-contact fire alarm input. Send your fire alarm interface details and required cause-and-effect sequence so that ANLIN can confirm the connection and operating logic.

Can you provide wiring diagrams?

Yes. Wiring diagrams can be provided for the agreed configuration, including motor controllers, group control and the required fire alarm interface.

What information is required for quotation?

Send the BOQ, opening dimensions, quantities, project drawings, site photos, installation method and required performance. State whether single or group control is needed and identify the curtains assigned to each group. Include any customized control or feedback requirements.

How many motors can one group control center manage?

The described system supports up to 12 motors per group control center. The six-motor illustration is an example arrangement.

Can the curtain descend without electrical power?

Yes. Gravity fail-safe descent allows lowering under the curtain’s own weight when both mains and backup power are lost. Confirm the required deployment position for the project.

How are electronic limits set?

Electronic limit positions are set using an absolute encoder, with accurate positioning and smooth deceleration and stopping.
